I love how this new system has 4 different tabs on top! The first is for "eLive" where you can take tutorials. The second is "QUICK" tab where you can make quick fixes like light, color, balance, add color filters, add textured backgrounds, frames, or crop.
This is your go-to quick easy fixes. The Third tab is a really cool easy to use guided option where it already has some prefixed options, these options allow you to very easily fix brightness and contrast, skin tones, crop photo, levels, lighten and darker, and a lot of other options! This makes for another quick fix without getting too detailed.
The last tab is expert which is the original method of photoshop! This allows you to use different original tools! You can mess with layers, masks, brushes, different selections and thousands of other cool tools. If you're new at this then I highly suggest youtube videos! This program is very easy to use and has a lot of added features!
You can use it on two different computers and you don't have to pay an annual fee! For the price I got it, it's a steal! By ReviewR on November 23, Images in this review.
Read the reviews and was somewhat hesitant to load Adobe Photoshop Elements But went ahead with it anyway. Wouldn't install. Took about an hour, but finally finished. Then I was able to finish the install of Adobe Photoshop Elements Works fine now. Some of the confusion was that when I went to software updates on my MacBook Air, there was no indication that the OS needed updating. However, that turned out to be the problem.
I cannot get Should have read the reviews first. I cannot get this software to download onto my macbook air. None of the proposed solutions seem to help. So, to follow up on this issue, Amazon sent me a link to download the software directly from Adobe. That worked, and using the license key provided in the purchase confirmation email, everything is okay. Review stands at 3 stars due to hassle involved. Amazon should test their download services on all products before selling software for download.
I ordered this on Amazon, and then was not able to install on my Mac, as it does not recognize the Amazon installer under my company's security settings. For example, Elements selected an overexposed image of a person for its top 10 see below while ignoring a second, almost identical image that was properly exposed.
Other times, Auto Curate selected underexposed images when properly exposed ones were available. At one point, the software asked if I was happy with the curated selections; I clicked No, and I hope that it will make better choices as more Auto Curate sessions are performed. The automatic image selection also works with the enhanced, one-click Slideshow feature. Creating a slideshow with this new, one-click method is super simple; just click a button and decide whether you want to use Auto Curate, and Elements will select a theme, an opening slide and a music track and put it all together.
Of course, you can change the various components: Choose a different theme, change the title slide see screenshot below , add additional slides and captions, or replace the soundtrack with another supplied by Elements or from MP3 files on your computer. Although you may want to change a few or more aspects of the slideshow segments selected by the software, the automated process gives you a good head start.
Unfortunately, the Slideshow feature is pretty basic, so if you want to have more control over transitions or fading the soundtrack, it's best to look elsewhere. The web version is cross-platform, though. Here's a sample slideshow that I made using Auto Curate; I changed the title slide and the music to better fit the images.
Building on tools for facial-feature adjustment tools such as "Turn frowns upside down" which allows you to transform frowns into smiles , Elements is now equipped to substitute opened eyes for closed ones.
It's a problem we've all experienced — when a subject blinks at the exact time you click the shutter. Elements suggests pictures from which to grab a substitute pair of eyes, but the results are generally at little bizarre, as seen in the screenshot below. It's best to find the same subject in a similar pose.
That shouldn't be too difficult if you've taken a couple of consecutive snaps of the same person, because the lighting, pose and other parameters should be the same. I took several pictures for this purpose, asking the subject to keep her eyes closed in one shot and opened in the other. This produced much better results, as seen below. It would be nice to have additional tools, including one to adjust the eye placement, because they don't always align perfectly.
As with previous versions, Adobe Photoshop Elements is equipped with various selection tools, including the Magic Wand, Lasso Tool and Selection Brush Tool, each with its own level of difficulty and accuracy. You are even allowed to make vector graphics with the help of direct tools like pen tool, direct selection tool, etc.
Adobe Photoshop also provides with the cropping tool which can be utilized when an individual wants to crop a specific required amount of area of a displaying image and can discard the portions which are outside the selected area. It is located in the toolbar in the upper right side of your screen. To crop the image, the user just have to place the cursor over the screen and drag the cursor over the required area he wants to crop and as the enter key is pressed, the area outside of the selected area will be discarded and the selected area will be cropped and the part will be discarded will help to reduce the file size.
